Antique French Stoneware pitcher from "Bourdon frères, Paris" 4L

Sourced directly in France, this magnificent 32cm-tall antique French stoneware pitcher (cruche en grès) was crafted by the historic Manufacture Bourdon Frères in Paris during the late 19th to early 20th century.

While the Bourdon workshop was widely celebrated for industrial stoneware, domestic culinary pieces of this grand scale and palette are a rare find; it features an exceptional, heavily mottled blue glaze that beautifully departs from the era's common brown tones to perfectly complement modern farmhouse, rustic chic, and country estate interiors.

The commanding, hand-formed body includes classic horizontal accent ribbing around the neck, while the unglazed underside reveals its impeccable provenance via a crisp, deeply impressed "BOURDON FRÈRES / PARIS" manufacturer stamp and an incised numeral "4" denoting its impressive 4-liter capacity. Standing at a striking 12.5 inches, this heavy, authentic masterpiece is ideal for high-end interior styling with large botanical branches or as a standalone historic centerpiece.
