Set of 6 Antique French Provincial Ladder-Back Dining Chairs

Set of 6 Antique French Provincial Ladder-Back Dining Chairs

Early to Mid-20th Century (Circa 1920s–1930s)
Louis XV Provincial / French Country

This handsome, authentic set of six French Provincial dining chairs embodies the honest, rustic elegance of traditional northern French farmhouse design. Sourced directly from Normandy, each chair features a beautifully contoured, high ladder-back frame built from solid Oak timber with a rich, naturally developed patina.

The top crest rails and scalloped aprons are accented with elegant, hand-carved details, including a central wildflower or seashell motif. The seats retain their traditional, tight four-way "envelope" hand-woven natural rush execution, which balances organic texture with excellent comfort. The frames are grounded by gently curved cabriole front legs and a series of robust, turned stretchers that provide exceptional structural stability. Lightweight yet enduringly sturdy, this cohesive set brings authentic French country warmth and timeless character to any classic or modern dining space.
